George Rieke Receives AAS Chambliss Astronomical Writing Award at 2015 Seattle AAS Meeting

George Rieke, the winner of the American Astronomical Society's Chambliss Astronomical Writing Award, is seen receiving his Award in Seattle on Jan 6, 2015. George's book, "Measuring the Universe: A Multiwavelength Perspective," reviews current instrumentation and observing techniques. A Lo Que Pasa article from a year ago is HERE. Chapters include: Radiometry, Optics, Statistics; Detectrors for the Ultraviolet through the Infrared; Photometry and Polarimetry; Adaptive Optics and High-Contrast Imaging; X- and Gamma-Ray Astronomy; Epilogue: Cosmic Rays, Neutrinos, Gravitational Waves; and several others.
