Elisabeth Krause

Ass't Prof. Elisabeth Krause Wins 2020 Maria Goeppert Mayer Award

The American Physical Society has announced that  Elisabeth Krause (Assistant Professor at both Astronomy/Steward and Physics) will be the 2020 recipient of the Maria Goeppert Mayer Award. The citation reads "For contributions to theoretical cosmology and astrophysics, in particular, pioneering approaches to modeling key observables and extracting cosmological constraints from large galaxy surveys." You can read the complete press release HERE.

Elisabeth was also recently awarded the 2018 Young Scientist Prize from the Astrophysics Commission of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physicists.

Congratulations Elisabeth! She joins Feryal Ozel (2013) as UA winners of the Maria Goeppert Mayer Award.
