Policies and Practices Established in Response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic
This is an updated version of rules and resources for Steward Observatory and the UArizona during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is dated 17 August 2020. It was [almost-completely] curated by Stuart Weinberger.
Wildcat WellCheck— prerequisite to physically visiting the UArizona campus (see this page under “TRACE” “3. Daily Wellness Screening”).
Face Coverings— when and where they are required on the UArizona campus.
Experiencing COVID-19 symptoms? Stay isolated, self-quarantine, call Campus Health Services or your healthcare provider, and notify your supervisor.
As a supervisor, what do I do if someone who I supervise has COVID-19 symptoms, has close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19, or who tests positive for COVID-19? This COVID-19 Workplace Positive Case Protocol website maintained by UArizona Human Resources describes what to do in each of the three situations.
Emergency Paid Sick Leave and Expanded Family and Medical Leave (FML) rules authorized by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
COVID-related testing available to staff and students for COVID-19 at UArizona.
Travel —in general, any official University travel out of state requires pre-approval from the Director/Department Head (Buell Jannuzi), the College (Interim Dean Cheu) and the appropriate office of the Senior Leadership Team (Provost or SVPR). The policies are presented in the Travel Registry, Financial Services COVID-19 Updates website, and in the Financial Policy 14.18, Coronavirus Travel Authorization. In general, quarantines are mandated after work related travel and strongly recommended after personal travel.
Hiring changes related to COVID-19.
(thank you, Stuart)
