Computational Facilities

The computing environment at Steward consists largely of desktop workstations all linked together via high-speed Ethernet. Workstations include Sun Sparc workstations running Solaris, and PC's running Linux or Windows. The computing facilities of the University are also available for use by Steward personnel.

Libraries and Science Center

The Parker Library of Steward Observatory lies on the north wing of the 3rd floor.

The University Library System is also available.

The Flandrau Science Center provides programs on astronomy and the sciences for the general public and the public schools, and is also available for use in Undergraduate Astronomy courses. The instrument projects all stars visible to the unaided eye (6.5 magnitude) on a 50-foot dome.
