I will present initial results from the FLAMINGOS Extragalactic Survey,a wide-area (9 sq. degrees), deep near-infrared imaging survey within the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey regions. This program is designed to study evolution of the galaxy and galaxy cluster populations out to z=2. The field locations are selected to provide extensive overlap with observations at other wavelengths, and the target depths of the survey are chosen to enable detection of L* galaxies at z=2. During this talk I will describe some of the initial science being done with this data set, highlight upcoming work, and discuss planned coordination with other surveys within the NDWFS region. Specific emphasis will be placed upon high-redshift galaxy clusters identified using the FLAMINGOS,Spitzer, and NDWFS data sets.
Refreshments will be served at 3:30pm in the Steward Observatory Lobby.
