When computer users who have accounts on the Suns managed by the Computer Support Group wish to change their password, they should now change it on their "home" Sun (the one they receive their mail on) and NOT on "astro", as was required previously. As before, their password will be propagated overnight to other Suns where they have accounts. With this change, there is no longer any reason to log into "astro", and in fact, no one will be able to do so. (OSLO users should contact Alan Koski.) The "astro" hardware is no longer supported by Sun, and will be taken out of service later this year. In the near future, we will be restricting login access to a number of other machines for security reasons. Machine owners will be contacted.
