Title: The Progenitor of Supernovae in the Era of Wide-field Surveys
Abstract:
Over the past 20 years, the standard scenario to explain the death of stars has changed dramatically. I will give a brief overview of the field focusing on the progenitors of Core Collapse Supernovae. I will highlight some techniques used to advance knowledge of Supernova progenitors and present new results obtained with the LCOGT network of robotic telescopes and Gemini.
